I was going through old pictures on my PC today, and came across this shot, taken at Newport Aquarium in Kentucky around March 2005. Little did I know back then that I was going to move to Hawaii and see somebody catch this fish before my eyes.
It's called Broomtail, notorious for stealing bait off the hook. I'd like to catch one of these sometime. Fingers crossed!

I had never been to Hawaii until November 2007, which is unusual for a Japanese. But I'm glad I wasn't bloated with false expectations.
